Take some deep breaths, exhale through your nose, and imagine the worries you’ve been lugging around on your shoulders all week are bundled up in a huge backpack – then leave it the garden for the weekend.

Once you’re unburdened, spend half an hour alone in your garden room doing something like. Ask your family not to interrupt you, and revel in the peace of a solitary half hour.

What you choose to do in your garden summer house (and winter house!) is up to you. If it’s been a long time since you last had chance to unwind, try a listening to a podcast, bringing a cuppa and learning to knit. Or you could just hide and eat chocolate – the choice is yours!
