Three Ways To Get The Most From Your Garden Room in The Spring

Spring is almost in the air, we can feel it. The sun is setting that little bit later, the bulbs are beginning to pop up and the birds are returning to gardens in anticipation for nest building. Winter is on its way out and many of us couldn’t be happier! Depending on how you currently use your garden room you may already still have it in full-time use or perhaps, you have taken a break from using it during those colder months. Either way, there are plenty of fantastic ways to use your garden room in the spring and we are going to look at our top 3 today…

Getting Garden Ready For Spring

When we think of spring we all think of new life. This is the ideal time to check on last year’s seeds, to plan what will need sowing or planting out and what you’d like to see in your garden this coming year. Your garden room is an excellent spot in which to organise, draw up plans and keep warm whilst doing so. You could set up a potting table, put up a shelf to house your seeds, use window sills to give those seedlings a good start in life and use an office desk to keep notes on what needs to be done and when. Your very own little garden room for your garden plans.

Bird Watching From Your Garden Room In The Spring

Bird Watching From Your Garden Room In The Spring

As mentioned at the start, this is the time of year when the birds begin to return to our gardens in search of food and shelter. This is a great time to set up bird feeders if you don’t feed them already and to show them that your garden is an ideal location for nest building. To aid in this, don’t yet clear away any leaves, sticks, fallen twigs/branches instead choose to leave these for the birds to gather and use. You could help them even further by hanging bird boxes or nesters. Once you have all of this set up you can sit back in your garden room and watch on as they go about their busy days.

Reading Room

Your garden room makes a lovely place in which to sit and read, even more so when spring begins to come around. With more natural light, warmer days and your garden springing into life, a room in your garden makes the best spot to soak all of this up and delve into a good book.

Other ways to use your garden room in the spring could include an art room, a playroom, a gym or a yoga retreat… There are just so many uses you could consider. Check out our other blogs for ideas.
